All Campers are required to bring water and sunscreen. \nSession dates for 2019 Summer Camps:  \nSession 1.  June 24th – June 28th \nSession 2.  July 8th – July 12th \nSession 3.  July 15th – July 19th \nSession 4.  July 22nd – July 26th \nSession 5.  July 29th – August 2nd \nThe Summer Camp is open for kids born between 2003 and 2013. DESCRIPTION:Tonal Art Music Center Classes in Hoboken\, NJ\nTonal Art Music Center’s mission is to give students the tools they need to play the music they love. Founded on the belief that musical training can have a positive impact on many different areas of life\, they dedicated to providing quality\, focused\, results-oriented lessons to students of all ages. They believe that one of life’s greatest joys is to communicate with others through music and they strive to provide that experience to our students. \nTonal Art Music Center offers summer programming in 2019 from July 1st-August 16th. Regular private lessons will continue as well. \nRock Band Class:\nFor students in middle school and above with at least one year of experience on their instrument required. Will be placed in small groups and will learn rock and pop repertoire taught by an experienced musician and instructor. Culminating concert will be arranged. Classes will run from July 1st through August 11th\, meeting for 1.5 hours twice weekly for 7 weeks. $35/class with discounts offered for siblings and multiple week reservations. Exact times and days TBD. \nUkulele Class:\nClasses being offered for students of all ages\, from as young as 5 years old\, to learn about playing Ukulele in a group setting. Through a partnership with Maui Ukulele\, students will be given the opportunity to get a quality instrument and learn the basics of playing chords in a fun group setting. The Ukulele is a great way to get involved with the guitar because it leads to the instrument so naturally. DESCRIPTION: Peach Pie Contest in Jersey City Heights\nIt’s time for the Riverview Farmers Market’s 8th Annual Perfect Peach Pie Contest! In addition to the contest (and tasting afterwards!)\, we’ll have kids’ activities and lots of peach-themed items from our vendors. \nIf you’re an amateur baker with a favorite peach pie recipe\, read on to find the contest rules and other basic information below. \nREGISTRATION AND RULES: \nAll New Jersey residents are welcome. All ages are welcome to submit\, but you must be an amateur baker\, not a professional baker/chef. \nParticipants can submit home-baked peach pies or peach cobblers using Jersey peaches; no other dishes will be accepted. \nCompleted entry forms should be e-mailed to farmsintheheights@gmail.com  with the subject line “Peach Pie Contest.” \nEntrants can also register and submit pies at the Market on the day of the event\, at the registration/info table\, until the 11:30 a.m. preferred deadline on Sunday\, August 18th. No entrants will be accepted after 12 pm!!! \nBy submitting your dessert\, you are allowing the Riverview Farmers Market and New Jersey Peach Promotion Council to publish photographs of your dessert on their websites and in related press releases. \nRemember\, you must be a NJ resident and a non-professional baker (i.e.\, you do not make desserts for income/payment). \nJUDGING & PRIZES  \nJudging will start at noon on August 18th. Three winners will be selected by four local judges. Judging criteria (established by the NJ Peach Promotion Council) will include: overall appearance\, crust puffiness and color\, arrangement of peaches (in open-top pies)\, aroma\, filling color\, filling taste\, and crust taste. \nPrizes (donated by local businesses and sponsors) will be awarded at 1:30 P.M. \nMarket visitors will be invited to taste samples of the contest entries *after* the prizes have been awarded. \nLater this summer our first-place winner will take a second version of their winning pie to a final judging site (to be announced at a later date) for 2 grand prizes: one in south/central Jersey; the other in north/central Jersey. Grand prize winners each will receive prize money from the NJ Peach Promotion Council. \nThe New Jersey Peach Promotion Council is a non-profit voluntary organization of growers\, shippers\, wholesalers and associated industries dedicated to maintaining a viable peach industry in the Garden State for the purpose of preserving farmers and farmland; and to providing the highest quality and best tasting fresh peaches for consumers. \nJCFamilies will be organizing entertainment for the kids : There will be giant bubble for kids\, arts and craft and Music for kids in the event. \nThe entertainment for the kids will start at 11 am so make sure to get there early. \n
