Back to School Picnic

Friday, September 15th, 2023: 4 PM to 7 PM at Hamilton Park

We are here to make the transition to school days easier! Join us for the Back to School Picnic on Friday, September 15th, from 4-7 pm. This picnic offers an excellent opportunity to return to the school year routine. Reconnect with your neighbors and enjoy the summer weather at this fun community event!

JC Education Fair

Saturday, September 23rd, 2023: 10 AM to 1 PM at Hamilton Park

Do you have any questions about Jersey City Charter Schools or the JC Public School system? Join us at the JC Education Fair on Saturday, September 23rd, from 10 AM-1 PM in Hamilton Park. The JC Education Fair is an excellent opportunity for Jersey City parents to learn about local primary schools, daycares, and kid–friendly activity centers in Jersey City and Hoboken. Interact with representatives to help inform your decisions.  

Magicians’ Face-off

Saturday, September 23rd, 2023: 10 AM to 1 PM at Hamilton Park

The JC Education Fair invites you to bring your kids to the Magicians’ Face-off! Watch this group of talented magicians show off the best of their magic skills. Your Jersey City kid will delight in this show with tricks and entertaining dance performances!

9th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival

Saturday, September 30th, 2023: 10 AM to 2 PM at Hamilton Park

On Saturday, September 30th, celebrate life in America‘s most diverse city with fun fall activities! Your family will delight in pumpkin painting and crafting at the 9th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival. JC Kids’ Run

Saturday, October 14th, 2023: 10 AM to 1 PM at Exchange Place/J. Owen Grundy Park

On Saturday, October 14th, enjoy watching your child participate in the annual JC Kids Run. It‘s a fun and energizing race that your Jersey City kid will enjoy! You can cheer them on and get great pictures with the NYC Skyline in the background. Kids between 1 and 12 are welcome to join. Registration for this event will open soon, so check back for details!

JC Baby Fair in Downtown JC

Saturday, April 22nd, 2023: 11 AM-2 PM at Hamilton Park Montessori School Annex located at 175 8th Street, Jersey City

Are you thinking of starting a family in Jersey City? JC Families is here to help! Join us for the JC Baby Fair in Downtown Jersey City on April 22nd from 11 AM-2 PM. Presented by Carepoint, this free event for parents or parents–to–be will be held at the Hamilton Park Montessori School Annex. The first 150 registrants will receive a baby swag bag! JC Families is here to make the journey to parenthood easier.

Summer Camp Fair 

Saturday, April 29th, 2023: 10 AM-1 PM at City Hall Plaza: 280 Grove Street, Jersey City 

Are you planning for the perfect summer? It‘s never too early! On April 29th, come to City Hall Plaza from 10 AM-1 PM to learn about the great kid–friendly summer fun Jersey City has. There will be 42 camps, schools, daycares, and a Pre–K Program Q&A. Bring the whole family and enjoy the entertainment corner for kids featuring music, dance performances, a magic show, and more! It‘s FREE, so don‘t miss out!

Mother’s Day Celebration

Friday, May 12th, 2023: 4 PM- 7 PM at Hamilton Park

Calling all Jersey City moms! To make this Mother‘s Day truly special, join us on May 12th from 4-7 PM at Hamilton Park for our special celebration in your honor. At this event, you‘ll find a variety of exciting activities, including arts & crafts, delicious treats from local vendors, delightful performances, and a picture corner. We look forward to seeing you there!

FUNtastic Summer in JC

Friday, June 16th, 2023: 4-7 PM at Hamilton Park

We have 2023 family-friendly events in Jersey City for all seasons! To kick off this summer–to–remember, join us for our FUNtastic Summer Event on Friday, June 16th, at Hamilton Park from 4-7 PM. This FREE end–of–the–school–year activity–packed event offers many delicious food options from women–owned Jersey City food vendors, as well as great entertainment for the whole family.

Bubble Fest

Friday, July 21st, 2023: 4-7 PM at Hamilton Park

Friday, July 21st, JCFamilies brings you Bubble Fest! This magical, fun, and FREE summer event will have your little one jumping with joy! Bring your picnic blanket to Hamilton Park and enjoy giant bubbles! In addition, this event will also feature yoga for kids, arts & crafts, dance performances, and delicious food from local vendors!
