COVID Vaccination Information For Kids In Jersey City

COVID vaccines are now available for kids. We created this blog to help guide you with updated information on COVID vaccinations for kids in Jersey City. The C.D.C. Director Rochelle P. Walensky, M.D., M.P.H., endorsed the C.D.C. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendation that children 5 to 11 be vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine. As a result, C.D.C. now expands vaccine recommendations to about 28 million children in the United States in this age group and allows providers to begin vaccinating them as soon as possible.

• Eligible to receive the pediatric Pfizer vaccine
• The vaccine is administered in two doses, three weeks apart
• Lower dose than the dosage for those ages 12 and older
