The holiday season is upon us. There are so many drives happening in and around Jersey City that you can support. ‘Tis the season to give back and spread joy. If you want to give away toys, coats, or food in the city, you can find all enough options here.

Toy Drives 

Shampoo JC Toy Drive

Join us this Holiday Season as Shampoo JC help spread love and joy!! They will collect toys until 12/14 and donate them to the Captain Mark Lee Memorial Toy Drive!! So bring an unwrapped toy to your next appointment and receive a complimentary conditioning treatment!

West District Holiday Drive 

The JCPD West District Holiday Toy Drive will accept donations until DecembDecember 19. Drop off box is located at 1 Jackson Avenue.

North District Police Toy Christmas Drive

Tis the season to give back, and for no better reason than the JCPD North District’s Christmas toy drive. They are accepting donations on DecembDecember 20 of gently used or new toys for those in need this holiday season. So drop off your toys at 282 Central Ave.

Team Young Toy Drive

5th annual holiday toy drive for the children at the YMCA homeless shelter in Newark! In partnership with brown mill company /the Newark market! They are trying to gather 100 toys for children under 12! Contact 862-588-8782 for more information!

Jersey City Moms Gift Drive 

It’s that time of year!
Jersey City Moms’ gift drive is here! Their amazing community of moms has been rallying together to make this drive a great success for years. Last year they were able to help 200 JC families with gifts and groceries. They now accept forms from needy families and donors to help with gifts and groceries. Please visit their Facebook group to sign up or send a private message; they can send you the links.

North Jersey Toys for Tots

For more than 60 years, Toys for Tots has been making children all over the country smile during the holidays, and this year is no different. More details are here. 

The Hoboken Christmas Exchange

Ensure no child in Hoboken misses out on the joy of Christmas by signing up to participate in the Hoboken Christmas Exchange. It’s an opportunity to spread joy to those in need this Christmas as we ensure that no child in our city goes without a gift on Christmas! You can sign up to fulfill a child’s wishlist and volunteer with us as they help make wishes come true for the children in our community!

Hoboken Police Department’s 2nd Toy Drive

In the spirit of giving, the Hoboken Police Department has its second annual toy drive event in light of the upcoming holiday season. Help make the holiday special for kids by donating. In addition, toys will be donated to Hoboken Grace Church for its annual Christmas Exchange.

Jersey Cares Coat Drive 

The 27th Annual Jersey Cares Coat Drive is now accepting new and gently used coats through JanuarJanuary 8. Last year, Jersey Cared collected more than 20,000 coats throughout New Jersey. Companies, churches, police stations, schools, and other organizations collect coats throughout the drive and deliver them to a central location. Volunteers then organize the donated coats and package them for pick-up. Visit their website for drop-off locations and more information on how to help keep New Jersey warm this winter.

Angela Cares Winter Children’s Coat Giveaway 

Parents Engaging Parents X AngelaCARES 7th Annual Winter Holiday Children’s Coat Giveaway is back this year! Register to receive a new coat for your child. Children must be present. In addition, gently used coats will be available for all ages, and no registration is needed. The Winter Holiday Coat Giveaway is on Friday, DecembDecember 23,10 am to ensure children are prepared for cold weather and to soften their family’s financial strain.

Coat Drive at Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield

The Bloomfield Kiwanis Club, which has been involved in supporting children in need from all around the globe, is hosting a Coat Drive that runs through DecembDecember 17donations will be handed over to Jersey Cares to support its annual coat drive.
